Mission Statement
Improving outcomes through monitoring and accountability <PMI Monitoring Site>
Overview
Professional health programs, such as physician health programs, have become important over the past 25 years and have shown very high success rates. Rencent studies have suggested that much of the success rate of these programs is due to careful monitoring with accountability. Professional Monitoring, Inc. (PMI) was formed to provide monitoring services for individuals who seek to improve long-term outcomes and to document their success. PMI was formed by leaders in the addiction medicine and physician health field, who've had many years experience, are experts in toxicology, addiction medicine, and other aspects of addiction treatment. The purposes of monitoring are to 1. Document well-being, 2. To hold the individual being monitored accountable to continue recommended therapy and other activities that will keep them healthy, and 3. To detect problems early so remedial action can be instituted as soon as possible. Monitoring by PMI serves the multiple goals of documentation, accountability, and early detection.
